Uluru and Kata Tjuta

Another stupidly early start while it was still dark so we could get to Uluru before the sun rise. Vehicles were stretched as far along the road as you could see, we found a spot and climbed on to Tina's roof, takeing breakfast with us.

We were becoming quite a tourist attraction as we sat on Tina eating breakfast and waiting for the sun to rise. We were almost as well photographed as Uluru its self, we should have started to selling tickets.

Once the sun had risen and most of the other tourists had buggered off we joined a guided tour of part of the rock and then decided to do the full base walk around the rock.

A little movement from the corner of my eye found two giant lizards sneaking there way through the bush.

After Uluru'ing ourselves out, Kata Tjuta's were our next waypoint about 45 klicks west of Uluru. Boy they are worth a visit, ignore that waist of space of a Rock and get your ass to Kata Tjuta. Everyone we talked too said how impressive they were and they are. The valley of the winds walk was breathtaking.
