I few years a go Captain Guy �In the Eye� Bewsher led a small number of 31 Signal Regiment soldiers in adventure training canoe style down the Blackwater River in British Columbia, Canada. Helped and supported by our Army qualified paddle gurus Ewan �Cool As� Hall and John �Tape His Eyes� Gardner. I was lucky enough to be one of the privileged few that got to go.
We survived, but what an unbelievable experience a trip of a life time, it was beautiful, the lakes, the forests, the river. From my eye we were must have been in another world, one of unspoiled beauty, no sign of human life as far as eyes could see. Nature, the lakes, forests, views and animals are now my idea of a hevan.Thank you Guy, without your ideas and planing I would have never had a chance to experience such comradely, excitement, such an ADVENTURE, easily one of the greatest memories of my life.
